Visit their cellar, taste wines of character resulting from world fame Great Vintages.  Alsace has a rich wine heritage, and throughout the summer and autumn celebrates the fruit of the vine with various Festivals, markets and other jollities where you can meet with winemakes, taste and buy their wines. Many caveaux opens their door to you. The wine is of course to consume with moderation.

Upon your visit to Windstub, you must have some Sauerkraut, the local traditional dish . This tasty regional specialty can be prepared in many ways, in particular "Garnie", "Royale" or "de la Mer", all of which today can be found in restaurants around the world . Among other things, Alsace is also famous for its Pork-butchery: "Gendarmes", "Knacks", ham and other sausages are a real treat for meat lovers ... A glass of gewurztraminer is the perfect complement toMunster Cheese , bringing about all of its flavor . Alsatian gastronomy, also includes excellent cakes such as the kugelhopf, the bretzels, the strudel or delicious tarts made of Mirabelle plums with which delicious Brandy is also made . Alsace is known for its Goose Foie gras, which is unanimously and universally celebrated for its smoothness and flavor.

Inheritance

The wine trail of Alsace is the oldest of France. It crosses the Alsatian vineyards on more than 170 km. You will thoroughly enjoy holydays on the wine trail from Strasbourg to Mulhouse via Colmar. Picturesque villages, lush green landscapes and excellent white wines are waiting just for you...

 Come to plunge yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages by discovering the castles of Alsace such as Haut-Koenigsbourg, the more visited monument of Alsace and the Hohlandsbourg. These 2 castles organize demonstrations on the topic of the Average Age, medieval evenings , markets, festivals, meal... and propose various visits.

• In Colmar: Unterlinden museum, Bartholdi museum, the creator of the statue of the Freedom of New York

• In Ungersheim, at 15 minutes of the lodging, Ecomusée of Alsace, one of most beautiful and best organized Europe, a authentic Alsatian village, animations throughout the season, museum of the Mines of Potash of Alsace.

• In Ungersheim, beside Ecomusée,  the Bioscope is open since June 2006, it is a park of leisures devoted to the man and his environment.
